Heidi Anderson (she/her) has been teaching English and English language classes for 27 years, 13 at the University of Minnesota Duluth and 14 at MState Moorhead.
Much of her career has focused on preparing multilingual students for first-year composition courses and, more recently, on equitable teaching practices in college composition.
Anderson holds an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from Minnesota State University Moorhead, an MA and BA in English from St. Cloud State University, and an AA in English from MState Fergus Falls.
Anderson won the Board of Trustees Awards for Excellence, Outstanding Educator Award in 2016 and was nominated for the award in 2022. She has worked closely with TESL colleagues from around the state as a member of MinnState’s ESOL/ELL Workgroups since 2013.
